Soulcraft: Sigar Adventure School

Soulcraft is an adventure school located along the valley of Sigar Highland. Inspire through the idea of land-form that causes landslide in the highlands of Malaysia. Landslide is an erosion effect caused by rain which causes land-form. The form of the building consists of 3 different land-forms by pouring cement plaster on the ground.

Extracting it nature shape and understand it through drawing them in plans and section by cutting them in every few centimeters to study the form. After multiple sectional studies, the cement plaster was used to make a plastic vacuum mould so to replicate the plaster mould into various form. With that, it was possible to cut up the original mould into pieces without destroying the original form of the land form.

De-constructing the original mould into half pieces and able to arrange them onto the site of Sigar highlands. The arrangement is an idea of how water is able to shape the rock and flow through the building. The design also offers to form a water catchment area, enabling the adventure school to educated the importance of preserving water.

The adventure school is able to educate people about nature so they are able to learn to appreciate and be more conscious about nature. As the water could also shape the nature in an unforgiving way.
