EUPHORIA ARENA HOTEL: Entertainment Centre/Hotel

This is a Year 4 Semester 1 Project in National University of Singapore.

The project is based on Professor Richard Ho's Masterplan guideline done by his previous studio on the Singapore Jurong Town hall, titled as "City of Encounterment". The site is occupied by the existing Jurong Golf Club that will be returned to Singapore Land Authority for the upcoming High Speed Rail.

The hotel is located at the node point of the main boulevard and green belt on top of that the HSR across the site. A hotel and office space offering to bring excitement and entertainment to the site. 

​

The design offers to bring Professional gamers from all over the world and able to provide comfort and stay. It also acts as an entertainment centre for the people coming from the HSR, which they are able to spend time playing games while waiting for their trains or even staying at the hotel. 

The design strategies are to create a column-free atrium with extremely high ceiling space. Allowing the drone racing to fly around freely without any obstruction of building structures. People who are staying in the hotel are also able to walk out of their rooms and hang out at the corridor to enjoy the game and racers, cheering & shouting offering to create a euphoric experience within the arena.

Along the node, people are able to see gaming audiences walking or going up the escalators into the theater space not knowing what is inside. Creating a curiosity and drawing the public into the building. Upon entering, they are able to see through the theater space of E-sports gaming competition and the reaction of the crowd through the double volume glass panel. And also greeted by the high atrium space where drones are racing and people cheering within these space.

Euphoria Arena Hotel is a space for gamers, game developer/designers & public to commute through playing and spectating E-sports gaming and Drone Racing. Hotel full of excitement & thrill gaming experiences.  

​

Three entrances are able to draw people from the node, green belt and main boulevard into the building. The theater space is located at the corner of the side facing the node, which people are able to see the E-sports audiences going up into the space not knowing what is behind the space until they enter the building and expose with different modes of games & excitement.
